The Daren Ganga Foundation (DGF) was founded in 2007 and launched in 2009, to create opportunities for talented young people to grow, develop their skills and maximize their potential. It is the brainchild of Daren Ganga, former West Indies and Trinidad and Tobago cricketer, who was moved to create this eponymous organisation in order to create a platform for motivating and coaching youngsters to pursue their dreams.

  The DGF is unique in both its intent and execution, in that its mission and vision are achieved through two strategic channels: the scholarship programme and the annual sports camps. Unlike other Foundations which raise funds which are then distributed to various causes, the DGF plans, coordinates and delivers these programmes itself, through its core and affiliate staff. The Foundation’s work is meticulously managed and streamlined, to ensure that all outreach activities positively on the lives of children, their families and by extension their communities. This, in essence, is the vision of the DGF: to motivate and inspire young people to reach for the stars, to become responsible citizens and to become agents of change in their communities, even from a very young age.

    Daren Ganga is a former West Indies and Trinidad & Tobago cricketer, and widely regarded as the most successful captain in T&T cricket history. He is also a Sports Ambassador for the Government, and continues to work in the area of Sport Development.

    Sheldon Ganga is an engineer by profession and shares his brothers' passion for cricket and youth development.

    Rishi is General Manager at Horizon Environment Services Ltd. His consistent high-quality project management, financial management and planning skills enhances the vision of the Daren Ganga Foundation

    Sherwin is a Trinidad and Tobago cricketer and businessman, who works assiduously alongside his brothers in executing the vision of the DGF.

    Secretary

    Ryerson Bhagoo is currently HR Analyst at PETROTRIN where his provides his expertise in people resourcing, performance management, training and development and much more. In addition, Mr. Bhagoo was Captian UWI St. Augusting Cricket Team and past Secretary at Charity Football Challengers.

    Assistant Secretary

    Christian Nath is COO at Capil's and Company Ltd. He brings to Daren Ganga Foundation his extensive management and leadership skills along with his love of children and voluntary spirit. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from the Lynn University.

  • Ranjeeve Moonan

    Ranjeeve Moonan

    Assistant Treasurer

    Ranjeeve Moonan brings his analytical skill and knowledge to Daren Ganga Foundation. He currently holds the Business System Analyst (E&P) at PETROTRIN. Mr. Moonan was the past Vice President of Charity Football Challengers. He earned his BSc. Information Systems and Management from University of London.
