The Beetham Football and Cricket Clinic

The Daren Ganga Foundation (DGF) in partnership with The Children’s Ark and the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Reserves launched a football and cricket clinic at Phase 4 Multi Purpose Court, Beetham on Saturday 18th April, 2015. The vision of this clinic is to provide opportunities for growth and development for children of Beetham from ages five (5) to fifteen (15) as well as to teach them the various aspects of the sport.

This venture would be accommodating fifty (50) children to partake in the sport of football or cricket over a period of 18 sessions, that is, two (2) sessions per month on Saturday mornings. The clinic will commence on Saturday 18th April, 2015 and end on Saturday 12th December, 2015. Each participant would be provided with a T-shirt and refreshments as well as quality coaching and mentoring in football and cricket, with sessions by current and former national players and coaches.

This Clinic is uniquely designed to assist in the development of the community’s youth by teaching them various aspects of the game as well as enduring lessons like sportsmanship, self-esteem and friendship. Each child would be exposed to comprehensive coaching on the basis of the game.
The Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force Reserves would be present throughout the duration of the Clinic providing security services to ensure the safety and well-being of the participants.
Following the Clinic, the DGF would endeavor to use its networking to offer talented participants of the clinic the opportunity to further develop in the respective sport by placing the individual in more established clubs associated in close proximity to the identified persons.
